As a day trader, never hold a stock into the following day. Always finish your day in a cash position. This way, regardless of how the markets behave at the open of the next day, you will be prepared to trade accordingly.

That makes good sense. But even then, if the market crashes and you pull out your money, you only wind up with a portion of it left. You still could lose all your money in a few days. I have heard this has happened to people.
