Annuities: Freedom for the Future

I think that having an annuity is a great thing. It's good to be able to protect yourself if you were to out live your resources. There are several different types of annuities availible so finding the one that best suits you is important.

I like the future income with single premium. I like how it lets you gain money over time, the current interest rates and have different payout options. I also think it's nice because some annuities can fund tax qualified plans.

I like being able to have a guaranteed income for the rest of my life especially when the economy is the way that it is currently. No one knows what will happen in the future so having that stability from an annuity is important to me.

There are different types of annuities so you should do your research before you buy. Variable annuities tend to be more risky than your fixed annuity so factor in which would fit your needs the best. You should make sure you check the insurance company before you purchase your annuity. You can always find out the company's ratings and obtain additional information to help assist you in your decision. All in all its a great product to have.
